About me

Please consider that - in spite of my anglophone name - I am not a native English speaker. You can expect me to be speaking at C1-level with a slight German accent. My pronouns are: he/his.

I was born in 1986 and grew up in Berlin-Neuk├Âlln, to which I returned when I finished my studies in 2014. Since then, I have been working as a psychotherapist in Berlin and the surrounding area. In 2020, I acquired the approbation (professional permit) in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Before I went to university, I did a lot of sports. However, since then I am more focussed on expanding my creative personality. Furthermore,I have always enjoyed losing myself in books and writing my own texts. In university I implimented a survey about the relationship between unconventionality (~nonconformity) and originality. I published an article about my findings which is accessible if you are interested (see link below). In the recent years, I have been inspired by several creativity classes; acting, dance and contact improvisation classes. I have found that the experiences I have gained during those classes have made an impact on my person and my professional perspective. Therefore, I have decided to engage even more in the fields of intuition, authenticity and physical self-expression. Since 2020 I am giving classes (called "ImproCouch") for people to experiment with different forms of improvisation as means of personal development. At the moment I am reading different kinds of literature concerning these fields to eventually write a book about it. Alongside, I am interested in meditation, yoga and body psychotherapy.
